2006 CENTRE FOR CONTEMPORARY MUSIC IN STUTTGART : |
This very experimental building is my last project so far.
The main Idea was to create a plastic structure that follows the downhill terrain. The openings between this structure provide a lot of light to the interior. |

2005 CRUSIUS WINEGROWING ESTATE IN BAD KREUZNACH : |
![]() |
Doctor Crusius, a well known winegrower, is the owner of a large
vineyard in Bad Kreuznach. I designed this winegrowing estate for him. A monumental monolithic body grows out of the vineyard towards the village of Bad Kreuznach. This simple gesture creates a maximum of effectivity and functionality. |

2004 REGIONAL AKADEMY FOR LITERARY STUDIES IN CALW : |
The Hotel and Academy of Calw is my largest project so far. I won this competition in February 2004. The building basically consists of two parts. The long curved part in the background contains the hotel. The tower in the front the academy. The city of Calw lies in front of this whole complex slightly downhill so that everybody in the hotel has a nice view down the skyline of Calw. The main esthetic idea of this project was the polarity between horizontal and vertical thoughts. A small bridge connects the two bodies. The whole complex will be built in concrete.

2002 HOUSE OF YOUTH IN KARLSRUHE : |
The House of Youth was ment to be a place where young people can come together after school to develop social relations. I decided to concern on a classic over edge typology. The long body follows a street. It contains a large hall for sport activities and a small bistro. The small quadratic body moves over the edge to conclude the building. It mainly consists of a workshop hall allowing young kids to work on their bicycles. The main orientation of the whole complex is a park that lies in front of the enclosure. Large openings face towards the park. |

2002 RHINE MEMORIAL CHURCH IN RHEINSTETTEN : |

Another very simple and clear idea is this chapel. The interior design is very reduced. Daylight comes trough the narrow windows and accentuates the benches. There is a complementary relationship between the vertical windows and the horizontal benches. The centered altar is the endpoint of this rhythmic movement. Rhythm and structure mediates between exterior an interior design. |

2001 THREE HOUSES IN DAMMERSTOCK : |
I planned these three appartment houses in 2001 near the famous Dammerstock Siedlung in Karlsruhe. I designed them following the classic modern tradition of the neighborhood. Each house offers enough space for a family with at least two children and an office. Every house has its unique idea that creates a individual athmosphere. But it is also obvious that they belong together, because they speak the same architectonic language.

2001 KRONENPLATZ CHAPEL IN KARLSRUHE : |
![]() |
The Kronenplatz Chapel was one of my first projects. It is situated in the centre of Karlsruhe at Kronenplatz. I wanted to create a metaphysical athmosphere so I decided to work with diffuse athmospheric light. The building mainly consists of a rhythmic structure made of light walls. These translucent walls are made of a special type of resin. In the evening the walls are decently shining and light the square in front of the chapel. The body between the walls are filled with concrete. There is a contrast between heavy and light.
